Terre Haute South holds on for win over Vincennes Lincoln

Erick Brown

Terre Haute South (11-10) got a scare Tuesday night but managed to hold on for a 59-47 win over host Vincennes Lincoln.  The Braves jumped out to a 31-18 lead at the half and extended the lead to 17 points at one point in the 3rd quarter but the Alices fought back.  A late run in the fourth quarter saw the Braves’ lead evaporate to just four, but Terre Haute South managed to hang on for the win.  John Michael Jarvis led the Braves with 26 points on 8-13 shooting.  Anthony McGill scored 15 points and Jacob Tanoos added 10 for the visitors.  Terre Haute South will play their last home game of the season on Friday night when they host Rockville.  Former NCAA and NFL coach Cam Cameron will have his jersey retired in a halftime ceremony in the final home game.

Terre Haute South’s season comes to an end after tough loss to Mooresville

Erick Brown
Contributing Writer

The Terre Haute South Lady Braves’ season came to an end after their title run fell short to Mooresville 53-48.  Terre Haute South had a double digit lead in the championship game, but second half turnovers and a strong performance by Mooresville’s Megan Calloway were too much for the Lady Braves to overcome.  Haley Seibert led Terre Haute South with 20 points and Emily Bell added nine rebounds.  The Lady Braves look to compete for a championship again next year as the team only graduates one senior.

Terre Haute South advanced to the title game with a dominating 46-23 win over Northview.  Hannah Lee and Haley Seibert each scored double figures for the Lady Braves, adding 12 and 10 points respectively.  Emily Bell grabbed nine rebounds while adding four steals in the win.
