Staff Report

Realignment
is bringing major changes for MIC teams and the tourney trail they follow. The
league will still be represented in four different sectionals, but the field in
those tourneys will significantly change.

One of the
largest shifts will affect Carmel. The Greyhounds will still travel the
northern route to the state finals, but the sectional field will be much
tougher. That is because HCC entries Hamilton Southeastern, Noblesville, and
Fishers are replacing Kokomo, Anderson, and Anderson Highland.

The Terre
Haute schools are also seeing a major change. They are now grouped in Sectional
6 which includes Ben Davis and Conference Indiana power Pike. Previously, they
faced the southern monster in the MIC, Center Grove. Meanwhile, the Trojans
have a new bully on the block. Perennial 4A power Columbus East has moved to 5A
and will enter the field in Sectional 7.

The
Indianapolis members of the league are also seeing changes. in the field for
Sectional 5.  Indianapolis Arlington,
Fishers, and Hamilton Southeastern are being replaced by Franklin Central,
Southport, and Perry meridian.
