The MIC
remained undefeated as a conference in early season basketball action. Three
league teams saw the hardwood Saturday night and all were winners. That is on
top of all four MIC teams who played Wednesday night also being victorious.
Saturday, #1
Lawrence North went to 2-0 on the season, but it wasn’t easy. The Wildcats
survived a spirited effort from Brebeuf to triumph 40-36. Terre Haute South was
impressive in a 74-49 thrashing of Evansville Reitz. Warren Central capped the
perfect evening with a 73-66 victory over East Chicago Central.
Things
really hear up Friday night when all eight conference teams take the court. The
headliner is unquestionably the opening conference game of the year. LN will
travel to Terre Haute to face the South Braves. The other marquis match-up is
Indianapolis Cathedral visiting Warren Central. The annual west side war
between Ben Davis and Pike is also on tap.
